Eggs Again Part 5??Today I notice more eggs but the numbers are smaller and the size of the eggs are smaller too, they must be
from the smaller females that I have just included in my breeding tank. The females have just started breeding so the number
of eggs and the size of the eggs will increase gradually. The pond breeding is progressing pretty well too as we noticed baby
fishes yesterday, hopefully the number of babies will increase further.

Eggs Again Today & Yesterday!Hi everyone, just another quick update. Changed my breeding technique and its proving to be very successful.
I am getting eggs nearly everyday now and they hatch by the 3rd day. Now running out of space again. Luckly my new racks
will be ready this week, which means more space for the babies. This week alone, another few hundred babies were added
to my stock. Looks like in another month or so, will have larger numbers to supply to those who are interested in buying.

Eggs Eggs Eggs Part 3Found another whole bunch of eggs this morning and was happily removing them from the main tank to the baby
breed out tank. Counted about 100 eggs. Looks like in 2-3 days more babies will be swimming around in my baby tank. :) Hopefully
the adult fishes will remain happy and continue producing more eggs. Have to start preparing my tanks again. Its a lot of
work, caring for them, but its worth the effort seeing the parents breed and the babies growing up.

More Garra Rufa Eggs!My previous batch of Garra Rufa eggs hatched after two to three days and now I have approximately 100 babies
swimming around in my tank. Yesterday I got another batch of eggs, approximately 100 eggs and fingers cross I might have
more babies in another day or so. The adult Garra Rufa seems to be so happy in my tank and are consistently breeding.
I will have more fishes available for sale soon.

Garra Rufa Eggs!My new discovery just this morning, Garra Rufa Eggs! For the first time I get to see the eggs! Am so excited.
Took them out from the main tank. There should be atleast 200-300 eggs. I have put them in an empty tank and run an air line.
Hope I can get them to hatch. Updates soon.

I guess every one have been to the many web sites dedicated to the
Garra Rufa. When I first got interested in these fishes, searching the internet was so so confusing. There were so many pictures
and descriptions of fishes. Different people were claiming their fish to be the Dr. Fish. I got so confused, but with
the proper help from my local fish importer and hours of searching on the internet, I managed to determine that the species
purchased from Germany was indeed the Dr. Fish. There are so many fakes going around, and so many varieties of this fish,
that many look so similar to the real Garra Rufa. One needs to be careful when purchasing. For those who want compare the
different pictures of the various Garras, do check out this website : http://www.loaches.com/species-index/pictorial-species-search-index/garra-species
I
became fascinated with these fishes on my first trip to a Fish Spa in Singapore. Normally, fishes would run away when humans are
around, but with Dr. Fish, once you immerse your hands or feet into the water, you get hundreds of these little fishes
swimming towards you. At first I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant, especially when i watched in horror as the hundreds
of fishes swam towards my feet! At the beginning, it was so ticklish, I was so close to biting my tongue off, but being
a guy, had to act macho in front of my girlfriend and the ladies at the spa!
Breeding Garra Rufa-
From my observations, my Garra have started breeding after approximately 7 - 8 months. My set-up is as follows : A 4 feet
aquarium with coral pieces to stabilize the ph of the water at approximately ph 7. Approximately 30
pieces of Garra, no particular ratio between males and females as I am still not able to 100% distinguish the males from
the females, only that the females have a rounder stomach when they are pregnant. I feed them twice a day, and they just about
eat any food, flakes, pellets, etc. I do water change once a week, approximately 15%. I am told that they are
egg scatterers but till today, I have not seen or noticed any eggs. It might be that they are just too small. I only notice
Baby Garra swimming in my tank. New Babies would appear weekly. I would catch the babies out, to avoid the parents eating
them.
Thanks for visiting.
